PARENT COMMENT:

‘Liliana has been there for me and my daughter 100%.  Before Liliana came along, me and my daughter were lost in a forest with no one to help.  Liliana got us out of the forest and put us on the right road. She has completely changed my thinking about my daughters and own issues.  She was like a bridge between myself and the authorities.  She got people to listen and take action.  She helped to get my daughter into special school.  She was there for me when I was upset or needed someone to talk to.  Liliana is an inspiration and a saviour. ’

Don’t waste your talents…..VOLUNTEER!

Have you ever thought about volunteering?  There are many benefits to it! Here are just a few:

  • Boosts your CV
  • Boosts your social life
  • Gives you a chance to try different jobs or a new career!
  • Benefit your community and your school!
  • Make a difference!
  • Helps you to meet new people

There are lots of volunteering opportunities available for YOU!  Its not about just doing a menial task that you don’t enjoy it’s about an exciting opportunity to try something new or to share your existing skills with others to benefit your local school.  You really can make a difference.  We believe that this volunteering system will benefit the children attending the school by giving them access to more services that could not necessarily run when only paid staff are available, and gives scope for developing learning opportunities within the school where the school feels they would like to have more activities in that field.

If you would like more information on volunteering at Seaton Delaval First School please contact Dorothy Lewis on  Tel:  0795 1838 328 any Friday when she is based at Seaton Valley Children’s Centre, Western Avenue, Seaton Delaval
