The Church Of Our Lady
The Church of Our Lady, Seaton, is the Parish Church of the Parish of Delaval. The Church was built about the end of the 11th Century by Hubert de Laval, who was the nephew by marriage, of William the Conqueror and consecrated by Bishop Flambard of Durham in 1102.
The Church is in use as a place of worship every Sunday, but is open to visitors at the same times as Delaval Hall; normally 2pm to 5pm, from May to September, on Sundays, Wednesdays and Bank Holidays. By arrangement, it can be available for visits by groups and schools, etc.
