Hastings Initiative (Astley High School)
The Hastings Initiative is a local youth club and registered charity (No1082766) established in 1997 working with children and young people between the ages of 6 – 13 to deliver structured activities in the Seaton Valley area. The club runs from Astley High School and Seaton Sluice Community Centre.
Our aim is to offer alternative ways of using youth leisure time by delivering diversionary activities to provide positive, stimulating, informative and enjoyable out of school sessions. We want to contribute to the long-term benefit of the children and young people of Seaton Valley by increasing their confidence, sociability and building of positive relationships.
All our activities are delivered by qualified youth workers. Our activities include dance and drama sessions, sport, outings, summer activities and advice and support.
